About Hacienda de los Milagros (House of Miracles)
Hacienda de los Milagros is a lifetime sanctuary dedicated to the oneness of life for all our friends here. The sanctuary is a member of the Conquistador Equine Coalition. Hacienda de los Milagros is an IRS tax exempt corporation which totally depends on community support. All contributions are used strictly for the animals. There are no salaries paid.
We are accredited by The American Sanctuary Association.
On a quiet rural lane in Chino Valley, Arizona, the only sounds you might hear are the gentle sounds of animals at peace and play.
These animals whose lives were threatened, had no place to go and had no one who cared.Today they are safe and happy members of a loving family, thanks to the love and efforts of two dedicated people who founded Hacienda de los Milagros Animal Sanctuary.

Want to Volunteer at the Sanctuary?
Large Animal Groomers: many of our residents enjoy being brushed..come and give some attention and kindness to our wonderful animals.
We are looking for some volunteers to feed our residents in either the morning or evenings anyday of the week..call 928-636-5348 for details.
We are planning 2 Open Houses and a major fundraiser for 2008. We are looking for assistance with those efforts.

Mission Statement
Believing that all animals deserve quality of life,
Hacienda de los Milagros has made a lifetime commitment to provide
a safe and nurturing sanctuary for abused and rescued animals
where they can live out their natural lives in peace and diginity. Their further
commitment is to educate the public regarding the rights of all animals, with
emphasis on wild animals who are being forcibly evicted from public lands.
Adoption Policy
We do not adopt or sell. Most of our resident burros have been removed from the wild against their wishes, and we do not believe they should be moved yet again. They are the ultimate herd/family animal. Some of the burros and most of the horses have physical conditions which would limit their use for riding, etc. And, most important of all, we believe that adopting/placing perpetuates the feeling that non-human animals are property. They are not.
